Thermal Applications
Thermal Sensors on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles can provide valuable information as to heat conditions in and around structures. This can lead to determining failures or assist in preventative maintenance. Thermal systems vary in the degree of sensitivity. Sensors range from inexpensive low resolution with no temperature data to very high resolution displaying minute temperature deltas at given points in a field.

Sensors for thermal applications are divided into two categories.
Non-Radiometric is the most common and least expensive. Non-radiometric sensors detect a heat signature but do not provide temperatures. Radiometric sensors detect heat signatures, but also provide temperature deltas among selected areas.
Infrared Sensors
I/R Sensors are perfect for subject monitoring in darkness. I/R Sensors detect heat signatures. I/R Sensors can indicate for instance, recent use of automobile engines or heat emission from under a cover.
Gimbals can include an Infrared sensor along side an E/O camera, or independently. Infrared Sensors cover a wide range of capabilities including resolution, zoom-ability, and sensitivity. We work closely with our clients to find the Infrared sensor which best suits their needs. To learn more, visit our
Sensors Page or contact us for more information HERE. Be sure to let us know you're interested in I/R sensors.

ISR Payloads
ISR solutions can combine a number of sensors, but the most typical work up is an infrared sensor combined with a camera. Laser range finders or indicators can be added. Scene and/or object tracking is a frequent request, allowing the operator to "follow" a subject automatically. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles using ISR have rapidly decreased scene up-time. Using small UAVs, your organization can glean the first hand knowledge and situational awareness it needs to make timelier, more-informed decisions in tactical situations. We partner with the best UAV ISR manufacturers in order to provide you with the highest quality solution. To learn more, visit our Sensors Page
